Kano State Commissioner for education,emphasizes quality in school leadership

The Kano State Commissioner of Education Gwani Dr. Ali Haruna Abubakar makoda has stressed the need for quality in school leadership for a better learning outcome in schools across the State.
Dr. Makoda said school leadership must provide such strong opening instructional support to produce the desired learning outcome in students.
According to the commissioner, “school leaders must be considerate in assigning task, monitor lesson with view to identifying gaps for teacher training and development.”

However,the statement read that
” He made this known at a two days dissemination workshop for leading learning for Gender equality (equity) in education organized by British Council for four states in Nigeria Kano, Kaduna plateau and the FCT.”
According to the commissioner, school leaders must be considerate in assigning task, monitor lesson with view to identifying gaps for teacher training and development.
The Commissioner stressed the need for mentorship in schools and adequate school leadership and teachers motivation at all time.
Dr. makoda disclosed that the state government is puting all measures to ensure teacher training at basic and secondary schools levels as well as prompt payment of salaries to all teachers in the state by the 25th of every month.
He thanked the British council for the workshop and enjoyed teachers and school leadership across the state to reciprocate government’s gesture by working hard to better the system.
