A prominent member of All Progressive Congress ( APC) Alhaji ( Dr) Ilyasu Musa kwankwaso, has stressed the need for Arewa
Consultative Forum (ACF),to called for a roundable discussion, that would involved religion leaders, traditional rulers and politicians, irrespective of political afflictions to find a way forward in tackling myriad of problems facing the north

He made this assertion on Thursday,in Kano, while reacting to the recent outcome of ACF meetings held in Kaduna ,in which they issue a communique, allegedly
attacking the Federal government on alleged neglect of the northern states

It will be recalled that in a communiqué issued after its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held in Kaduna on Wednesday, the ACF expressed dissatisfaction with the current administration’s economic policies, stating that they have worsened the hardship faced by the average Nigerian.

The communiqué was signed by Prof. Tukur Muhammad-Baba, ACF’s National Publicity Secretary.

The forum highlighted the unique vulnerabilities of the northern region, noting that its people are disproportionately affected by food insecurity, limited access to education and skills training, and reliance on microeconomic activities for survival

However, while reacting to various allegations levelled against president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Alhaji Kwankwaso, said that rather been condemning Mr.President ,” we the north should look inward on how to solve pressing menaces  facing us and stop a ball game attitude of passing transfer of aggression on President Tinubu’

He added that though ,it is normal for the ACF to speak on issues threatened the northern states , however they should also try to look for a true panacea to confronting challenges

He highlighted that whatever we might have discussed at a roundable with sincerity and one mind ,if table before President Tinubu’ would be given an outmost consideration and attention, because Mr.President has a listening ears to whatever issues affecting the country

According to him,”we in the north should listen and act on what the former Sokoto state governor,Attahiru Bafarawa said that we in the north does not like ourselves,as reasons we could not unite and fought myriad of challenges bedeviling the north”

Alhaji Kwankwaso therefore stated that the present problems facing especially the north was not started by Tinubu’s administration but they were inherited from previous administration passed over to him

He said the major problem causing is armed banditry adding that if this is solve ,farmers would be able to freely go back to farms and there would also be enough  food for citizenry to eat

Therefore,we must collectively resolve to deal and solve the impediments, preventing the wheels of progress in our mist ,which is insecurity

He then asked we should also be fair to ourselves by go back to the memory lane adding that no fewer than nine  heads of state that had ruled the country were from North, while just about three heads of state that had ruled the country were from southern part of the country

The question we should asked ourselves is ,why can the previous administrations  not solved this menace threaten the country and especially the north could not be solve then

But in magnanimity of President Tinubu’ in his quest to address thus insecurity facing the country and especially the north ,he appointed three personalities of track records from the North

These people were the National Security Adviser ( NSA) Alhaji Nuhu Ribadu ,while the Minister for defence Alhaji Badaru Abubakar and his counterpart for Minister for State defence Alhaji Bello Matawale noting that all of them were doing excellent job to tame the menace of armed banditry and others menace facing the country

He therefore hinted that we in the north should therefore rally around the above personalities who were shouldered with responsibilities to tackle the menace of armed banditry and stopped casting aspersions on President Tinubu and continue praying for him in his efforts confronted these enemies of the country.

He also charged the community leaders and traditional rulers to be ready to give all necessary information to security personnel to fish out those who were bent to create havoc and unrest in their midsts

Alhaji Kwankwaso ,who was a former three time Commissioner for rural and community development, emphasised that those who engaged in armed banditry were leaving in our mist or do they came back from heaven to perpatrated their dastardly act ,this question is begging for an answers

He therefore stated that if they were within the respective communities, why can’t our people esposed them and give security personnel necessary information to arrest them

However,if we members of the communities were aboring them and allow them to launched their attack was in line with what Alhaji Bafarawa said that we the north does not like ourselves

Alhaji Kwankwaso however hinted that to find a lasting solution to pressing menaces facing the north has never late ,if we the north were ready to hold the bull by the horn abd tackling headlong and as well stop casting aspersions and blackmailing president Tinubu’

He added that by saying the North would look for an alternate candidate to voted for as president does not augur well polity adding the issue of armed banditry not handiwork of present regime

We witnessed it during the previous Presidents that had ruled the country ,we should stop beating around the bush ,we must be ready to contribute necessary quota to tame the havoc been created by armed banditry

He then emphasised that members of  ACF, stakeholders, traditional rulers , community leaders as well as politicians should put politics aside and unite by forming a formidable force and deal ruthlessly with those agents who were not wishing us well, the ball is in our curt ,let us do the needful

Let us face the reality, tackling the realities and Insha Allah, with Allah and collective prayers, peace would be returned to the north and issue of armed banditry would be a forgotten problem
