The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has filed a suit at the Federal High Court in Abuja, seeking an order compelling the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to reinstate its Kano State governorship candidate, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, on the list of contestants for the 2027 general elections.
The legal action followed the omission of Gwarzo’s name from the list of governorship candidates released by INEC, despite the party’s claim that he had fulfilled all the requirements to participate in the election.
