Constitution Review: Northern Elders Forum task Nigerians to support the program–

National Patriotic Elders Forum,(NPEF) has  called on Nigerians,to support the Constitutional Review and give critical advises where necessary to solve myriad of problems bedeviling the country

Making this assertion on Saturday in Kano,the NPEF chairman, Ambassador Dr Bature AbdulAzi while reading a communique before the press in Kano, stressed the need for the committee to carry the elders along in their deliberation

He emphasized that the Committee would do Nigeria good, if issues of sensitivity like the Federalism, State police, local fovernments autonomy and so many other similar issues are trashed with their full consent, so that the Nation will feel fully represented.

According to him,,today every part of Nigeria is having one issue or the other that needs to be critically looks into,”hence the need for all stakeholders to rally round and give them necessary advises to succeed

He therefore stated that  the Northern Nigeria today among all the regions is the most disturbed part which need serious attention.

Ambassador AbdulAzi, however disclosed that the issue of poverty facing the Northern part of the is the architect of most problems bedeviling the region

As according to him,poverty
Insecurities have taken root,while education is facing decay with hundreds of children rooming about the streets as destitute

Ambassador AbdulAzi then stressed the need reasons why the region requires special attention in the Constitutional Review

He then stated that by carrying the elders along through incorporate them to the committee,they would be able to give useful advises that would also assist them in their finding

He however added that this is not because they does not have confidence in the deputy speaker , because they know his track records to be clean ,but there still there is need to give the elders chance in their deliberation
