Gov.Yusuf flag-off distribution of over a million  units of learning materials to 44 LGAs

Kano State governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf,in his determination to boost educational standard,has  flagged off the distribution of learning materials to schools across the 44 local government areas of the State.
This was just as governor Yusuf said”This revival of the unfortunate state of the education sector in Kano state. With the deteriorating infrastructure, high number of Out-Of-School children by the former administration”
However,the flag-off ceremony was held at the Government House Thursday evening.
While, materials distributed are 120,000 cartons of chalks, 97,532 workbooks, 93,600 exercise books, 199,234 classroom registers, 350,000 reports sheets, 351 lesson observations books and national anthem books.
The Governor said, “I stand before you today as we take yet another step towards getting the education sector on its foot in Kano State.
 Gov.Yusuf however disclosed” I am
 happy to say that as the people’s government, we are fully committed to address these issues in our commitment to restore the educational system.
Let me say that declaration of … We have been working tirelessly to ensure that we transform the educational sector in our dear state.”
Governor Yusuf further added  that training and retraining of teachers has been part of the government’s priority while it had also embarked on massive rehabilitation of schools and construction of new blocks of classroom to ensure the conducive learning environment for boys and girls in schools.
Earlier, the commissioner of education, Umar Haruna Doguwa commended governor Yusuf, for his untiring support to the education ministry as well his commitment towards reviving the sector.
He then disclosed that the declaration of the State of Emergency on education by the governor has been a promise well delivered beyond expectations.
