Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has expressed condolences to the Director General, Media and Publicity, Government House Kano, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, over the death of his elder brother, Engineer Umar Sa’id.

The condolence message was conveyed in a statement issued on Friday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mustapha Muhammad.

Engineer Umar Sa’id, a former Director of Works at Kaduna Polytechnic and Federal Polytechnic Kauran Namoda, died in the early hours of Friday at the 44 Armed Forces Reference Hospital, Kaduna, at the age of 69.

According to the statement, the deceased passed away after a prolonged illness related to kidney disease.
