Tinub President Bola Tinubu,on Monday has signed the new Minimum Wage Act into law. However,he  signed the new law at 2 pm at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja. It will be recalled that the  newly minimum wage was approved by the National Minimum last week. The president assented to the bill on Monday, July 29, during the Federal Executive Council meeting attended by the members of the Cabinet. However,the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, and Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, among other members of the National Assembly leadership also witnessed the brief ceremony.

An explosion, suspected to be caused by a planted Improvised Explosive Device, has occurred at the popular Buni Yadi market in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.
