The Kano State Executive Council (SEC) has approved the conversion of Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education, Kumbotso, to Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education and as a degree awarding institution. However,based on this  development, Governor Abba Yusuf has dissolved the university‘s management, directing the Vice Chancellor to handover the affairs of the defunct university to his most senior deputy. The Kano state governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf,has dissolved the caretaker chairmen of all 44 local government areas in the state.
