Dala remains heartbeat of Kano politics, Says Commissioner Waiya

The Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, has described Dala Local Government Area as the heartbeat of politics in Kano State, citing its historical and strategic role in shaping the state’s political landscape.
Waiya made the remark while receiving executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Dala Local Government at his office in Kano.
He disclosed that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf would soon unveil a special initiative for the people of Dala in recognition of the area’s political significance and contributions to the development of the state.
The commissioner also called on party leaders at the grassroots to intensify public enlightenment on the importance of obtaining Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that wider voter participation would strengthen the democratic process.
Describing himself as a proud son of Dala, Waiya pledged his continued support and cooperation toward strengthening the APC and promoting development in the local government.
Earlier, the APC Chairman of Dala Local Government, Alhaji Dayyabu Ahmed Mai Turare, commended the commissioner for his commitment to the party and appealed for sustained support for party executives and supporters.
Mai Turare also urged the party leadership to establish APC offices in all 11 wards of Dala Local Government to enhance grassroots mobilisation and party activities.
Meanwhile, Waiya, on behalf of the APC State Chairman, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa, presented two cows to the Chairman of Yan Dangwale, Malam Ali Madugu Mainama, in recognition of his contributions to the electoral victory of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf
The commissioner urged the beneficiary to make productive use of the gift to improve his livelihood while encouraging continued commitment to the party’s activities.
