NNPC Foundation Limited/Gte has been named the Overall Winner and Most Responsible Organisation in Africa at the 19th SERAS Africa Sustainability Awards held in Lagos on Saturday.

Selected from 325 entries across 31 African countries, the Foundation outshone other major institutions in the 2025 awards, highlighting its commitment to impactful and sustainable initiatives.

While accepting the award on behalf of NNPC Limited, Executive Vice President Sophia Mbakwe said,

“These awards reflect the hopes and lived experiences of over 200 million Nigerians. Their voices and expectations shape our work as they see the impact, and they want us to do even more.”

The accolade recognizes the Foundation’s extensive nationwide programmes in education, health, environmental protection, access to clean energy, youth development and empowerment, and agriculture, all aligned with the President’s agenda for inclusiveness and sustainable national development.

This achievement cements NNPC Foundation’s reputation as a leading force in corporate responsibility across the continent.
