Media Group mourns Ododo’s father, says demise a painful loss

The Kogi Central Journalists Guild, on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow over the death of Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, the father of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo.
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Guild’s national Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Tijjani Abdulsalam, and secretary, Mr Ozumi Abdul,in which they described the death of Pa Ododo as a painful loss.
The Guild said “We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of the Governor’s father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo. “Our hearts go out to the entire Ododo family during this difficult time.”
According to the group “It is a particularly painful loss, coming at a crucial time when Kogi State is experiencing remarkable and tremendous development under the leadership of his son, Governor Usman Ododo.”
The Guild praised the late patriarch for raising a son who has dedicated his life to public service and the progress of Kogi State.
The statement read:” The legacy of Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo will live on through the good works of his son, and we pray that his soul finds eternal rest,”
The Guild’s statement read in parts : “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un” (Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return). The Guild prayed to Allah (SWT) to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, accept his good deeds, and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus (the highest level of paradise).”
“May Almighty Allah comfort the Governor, his immediate family, and the entire Ododo clan, granting them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. We pray that the Almighty grants him the light of His mercy in his grave, making it spacious and filled with tranquility,” the Guild prayed.
