Nigeria’s Senate has pardoned and recalled Abdul Ahmed Ningi, the Senator representing Bauchi Central.
It will also be recalled that
that, Ningi was suspended for three months on March 12, 2024, for accusing the Senate of budget padding.
However,the recall process was initiated after a motion moved by Deputy Minority Leader Sen. Abba Moro, who expressed regret on behalf of the suspended senator.
Sen. Abba Moro then promised
President of Senate, Godswill Akpabio, emphasised the senator’s resource fulness and described him as a valued member of the Senate, adding that the decision to recall Sen. Ningi transcends religious and ethnic divides.
However,it will also be recalled that
