Governor Yusuf donates 10 vehicles, 50 motorcycles to boost JTF operations in Kano

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has bolstered security operations across the state with the provision of 10 vehicles and 50 motorcycles to the Joint Task Force (JTF), a move aimed at improving rapid response and strengthening surveillance in vulnerable communities.
The donation, which was made at the Government House, Kano, is targeted at enhancing the mobility and operational efficiency of the JTF, especially in frontline Local Government Areas including Kiru, Tsanyawa, Kunchi, Ghari, Shanono, Tudun Wada, and Doguwa.
According to a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the allocation letter was formally presented by the Director of Special Services, Umar Baba Zubairu, who represented the Director General, Special Services, Major General Sani Muhammad (rtd).
The JTF Commander, AM Tukur, was represented at the ceremony by his Chief of Staff.
The event also had in attendance representatives of the Commissioner of Police, the Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), as well as chairmen of Kiru, Tsanyawa, and Gwarzo LGAs.
Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritising security and deepening collaboration among security agencies to protect lives and property across the state.
The Governor’s aide emphasized that the intervention aligns with ongoing efforts to strengthen security infrastructure and maintain peace in Kano.
