President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of former head of  Kano Road Transport Authority (KAROTA), Baffa Dan Agundi as the new Director-General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC).

This was contained in a statement signed by the special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, on Saturday said Mr. Dan Agundi is a former majority leader of the  Kano State House of Assembly.

He was also the Principal Registrar of the Kano State High Court of Justice.

Tinubu also appointed Mr. Silas Agara as the new Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).

However,Mr. Ngalale, disclosed that the National Directorate of Employment will be overhauled to combat unemployment in the country.

“The President anticipates an overhaul of the NDE for optimal performance in designing and implementing programmes to combat mass unemployment in the country.”

The president also appointed Mr. Umar Mohammed as the new Director-General of the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency.

However,Mr.Ngelale, made this known in a separate statement titled ‘President Tinubu appoints new Director-General of the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency.’

According to the statement, Mohammed is an architect, and also, a construction technology and environment professional.

The statement however said that
“The President expects improved outcomes in the agency’s objective of operating and maintaining hydrological stations nationwide, as well as carrying out groundwater exploration and monitoring using various scientific techniques in order to provide hydrological and hydrogeological data needed for planning, design, execution and management of water resources and allied projects.”
