An explosion, suspected to be caused by a planted Improvised Explosive Device, has occurred at the popular Buni Yadi market in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State. It will be recalled that the Channels Television reported that a resident of Buni, Ali Hassan said that the incident happened at around 12.30pm on Friday, injuring a girl. The Kano state Commissioner for  Women, Children, and the Disabled, Hajiya Aisha Lawan Saji Rano, has urged husbands of VVF (vesicovaginal fistula) survivors to support and stand by their wives, regardless of the extent of urinary tract damage they are dealing with. The family of the President-General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo’s Worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, on Thursday announced the passing of the elder statesman. A two-paragraph statement endorsed by the son of the octogenarian, Jide Iwuanyanwu, said that the Ohanaeze chieftain died after a brief illness at the age of 82. Kano State governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has granted approval to Kano State Agro-Pastoral Development Project,( KSADP) for the development of irrigation infrastructure at Kafin Chiri dam in Garko local government area of the state, at the cost of N2.5 billion.
