KANO State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has urged youths in the state to intensify grassroots mobilisation in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Yusuf made the call on Wednesday during the inauguration of 528 Tinubu ambassadors under the Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) movement at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.

However, the statement was signed by Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Director-General, Media and Publicity, Government House, Kano.,a copy made available to press in Kano

The inauguration is aimed at strengthening the movement’s grassroots structures and expanding its door-to-door campaign across the state ahead of the 2027 elections.

The ambassadors are expected to engage residents in their respective communities, mobilise youths and women, and sensitise the electorate on the objectives of the movement.

The governor urged the newly inaugurated ambassadors to remain committed to their responsibilities, maintain regular contact with grassroots supporters, and promote peaceful political participation.

He also emphasised the need to protect voters’ choices through lawful means throughout the electoral process.

Yusuf reaffirmed his support for Tinubu’s re-election bid, urging the ambassadors to sustain their mobilisation efforts and strengthen engagement with communities across the state.

In a related development, the National Director-General of A4A, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar, led a delegation of the movement to the Government House, Kano, where the governor received them during a courtesy visit following the inauguration.

During the visit, the Kano State Coordinator of A4A, Abdullahi Tijjani Muhammad Gwarzo, briefed the governor on the movement’s mobilisation plans and strategies for expanding its presence across the state.

Gwarzo assured the governor that the Kano chapter would strengthen its grassroots structures, coordinate activities across the 44 local government areas, and sustain engagement with supporters ahead of the elections.
