The former presidenial candidate of the New Nigeria People Party ( NNPP) in 2023 election, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso,has been said to have an underground move to pitched tent with the ruling party,All Progressive Congress ( APC) as a calculation step , to secured a second term for the incumbent governor of the state, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf comes 2027 general election
This was just as he stated that Senator Kwankwaso,has right to join the ruling party , however,the leadership of the party and president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’ should be wary of his ( Senator Kwankwaso)past political antecedents, when it comes to an alleged political betrayers
Making this known on Thursday,while speaking with press,the former three time Kano state Commissioner for rural and community development, Alhaji Ilyasu Musa kwankwaso,alleged that he ( Senator Kwankwaso)was aware that his party has broken to two factions and been disturbed that his faction may not be recognized for 2027 general election, decided to be planning to defects to APC to avert been lost out politically
According to him,’We are aware of serial efforts of Kwankwaso to have the ears of President Tinubu so that he will decamps to APC for his Governor to have easy ride for second term in office”.
He then reminded President Tinubu of who is Kwankwaso and his political betrayals that span years, adding that, “Tinubu should ask former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former President Jonathan, and host of others that had allegedly suffered the betrayals of Kwankwaso”.
According to him,” It is on records that severally Senator Kwankwaso aligned himself with Atiku but what comes out of it, history is there to narrate the story, so also Jonathan as President ,Senator Kwankwaso tried to make him believes that he was with him only for him in 2015 to sacrifice him for the merger that saw the formation of APC”.
Dr. Illiyasu Kwankwaso, further alleged that,” as if that was not enough, Kwankwaso still left APC for PDP, in 2023 to destroyed Atiku and reduced his votes in Kano, which though he achieved, but still he couldn’t stayed in the PDP and he left for NNPP dumping Tinubu in the cold”.
Dr Illiyasu Kwankwaso, hints that the same way Kwankwaso had problems with Ganduje because he couldn’t control him after winning Government in 2015, something that led him decamping out of the APC back to PDP and to NNPP that is how he is going to have problems with Tinubu in 2027.
He therefore advised president
Tinubu should be wary of Kwankwaso, he is right now trying hard to create problems between the President and his Vice Kashim Shettima so that he will have the privilege of trying to secure vice Presidential ticket in 2027, this man is never somebody that could be trusted politically,”
He therefore added that” So,one can see the problems with Kwankwaso, aside for been political desperate, you can’t trust him politically, he is a betrayal
” But today God in his mercy has exposed his antiques, even in the NNPP he is not even a member by a Court judgment , because all those who won their seats under the NNPP’ s logo of fruits like Senator AbduRahman Kawu Sumaila, Hon Alhassan Rirum, and others have deserted him “.
He said most of House of Representatives members who wins their seats under NNPP’ fruits logo are merging with the APC very soon,while Kwankwaso would be alone in the cold.
Dr. Musa Illiyasu, disclosed that the former presidenial flagbearer of NNPP now been disturbed of
the way the Deputy President of the Senate Senator Barau Jibrin receiving on daily bases receiving huge numbers of NNPP decamped to the APC
Having ” knowing fully Barau Jibrin loyalty to President Tinubu and this is given a sleepless night,hence the need for to mounted a media war against him to destroyed him politically adding that it was evidently clear that Senator Kwankwaso is behind all the problems that are happening in Kano”.
Illiyasu Kwankwaso, said the relationship that exist between APC National Chairman, Ganduje, the State Chairman of the Party Abdullahi Abbas, the Deputy President of the Senate Barau Jibrin, and the Chairman House Committee on Appropriation, Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi and many others baffled Kwankwaso and he can’t do otherwise,than to defects to the ruling party to saves face
However,when speaking on various allegations raised against Senator Kwankwaso,the state chairman of NNPP Alhaji ( Dr.) Hashim Dugunrawa stated that whether anybody like it or not ,the name Kwankwaso would continue to ring bell as far as politics is concerned
Dr.Dugunrawa added that the lovers of former NNPP were not been disturbed by whatever any expired politicians says about their leader, especially Dr.Kwankwaso adding that their plan is to rescue power from the APC comes 2027 general election
