Kano Gov.rallies support for Tinubu, APC ahead of 2027, promises sweeping election victory

Kola Oyelere Kano

KANO State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has declared that the state is fully committed to ensuring the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels in the 2027 general elections, pledging that Kano would deliver massive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election.

The governor made the declaration during an interactive session with elected and appointed government officials at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano,

This was contained in a statement
issued on Saturday by his spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.,a copy made available to press in Kano

Yusuf said the APC administration in Kano had no apology for supporting President Tinubu, describing the President’s re-election as a collective responsibility of all party members and government officials.

He directed all political appointees in his administration who have yet to register as APC members to do so immediately, stressing that every elected and appointed official must identify with the party and actively participate in strengthening its structures ahead of the polls.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to securing APC victories in the presidential, governorship, National Assembly, State Assembly and local government elections in 2027.

As part of efforts to motivate political office holders, Yusuf approved the allocation of plots of land to more than 300 political aides, including Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Senior Special Reporters, Special Reporters and Personal Assistants. He also approved the payment of N100,000 to each beneficiary.

Speaking at the meeting, Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ismail Falgore, said the APC owed no apology for promoting the achievements of President Tinubu in Kano.

According to him, constituency projects executed by members of the State Assembly with the support of Governor Yusuf had strengthened the party’s acceptance across the state and positioned it for victory in the 2027 elections.

Also speaking, Kano APC Chairman, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa, declared that “the battle line has been drawn” with the Kwankwasiyya movement, expressing confidence that the APC would emerge victorious in the 2027 polls.

At the end of the meeting, elected and appointed government officials unanimously passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu and Governor Yusuf, while pledging to intensify grassroots mobilisation and work collectively to secure APC victories at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
