Gov Yusuf condoles Dawakin Tofa over brother’s death

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has expressed condolences to the Director General, Media and Publicity, Government House Kano, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, over the death of his elder brother, Engineer Umar Sa’id.
The condolence message was conveyed in a statement issued on Friday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mustapha Muhammad.
Engineer Umar Sa’id, a former Director of Works at Kaduna Polytechnic and Federal Polytechnic Kauran Namoda, died in the early hours of Friday at the 44 Armed Forces Reference Hospital, Kaduna, at the age of 69.
According to the statement, the deceased passed away after a prolonged illness related to kidney disease.
Governor Yusuf described the death as a significant loss not only to the immediate family but also to the civil engineering profession, Kaduna Polytechnic, and communities in Kaduna and Kano states.
He noted that the late engineer lived a life marked by service, dedication and professionalism, highlighting his contributions to infrastructural development during his tenure at Kaduna Polytechnic.
The governor prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul, asking Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
He also prayed for strength and comfort for Dawakin Tofa and the entire family to bear the loss.
Yusuf urged the bereaved family to take solace in the impactful life lived by the deceased.
