Emir Sanusi visits attacked Shanono community, sympathize with families of victims

The Emir of Kano, Khalipha Muhammadu Sanusi II, has paid a sympathy visit to Faruwa town in Shanono Local Government Area, where several residents were recently killed in a bandit attack.
His visit and message of condolence were contained in a statement issued by the Head of the Palace Media Team, Sadam Na’ando Yakasai, a copy made available to press in Kano.
The Emir prayed for the repose of the souls of the victims and asked Allah to grant their families the fortitude to bear what he described as an “irreparable loss.” He urged them to remain courageous despite the painful tragedy.
Khalipha Sanusi also appealed to residents to remain vigilant and security conscious, advising them to immediately report any suspicious persons or movements to security agencies for prompt intervention.
He further encouraged the people of Shanono and Kano State at large to intensify special prayers for sustained peace, unity, and stability in the state and Nigeria as a whole.
Responding, the District Head of Shanono, Dankadan Kano, Dr. Bashir Ibrahim Muhammad, expressed gratitude to the Emir for the visit, describing it as a strong demonstration of his compassion and commitment to the wellbeing of his subjects. He prayed for continued divine guidance for the Emir in the discharge of his responsibilities.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Shanono Local Government Council, Alhaji Barau Abubakar, reaffirmed the council’s commitment to taking every necessary measure to tackle insecurity in the area. He appreciated the support of the Kano State Government in ongoing efforts to curb the menace.
