Former  of Kano State governor , Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, has said that” Nigeria and Nigerians will surely miss Buhari’s patriotic zeal and commitment”

According to him,”since he joined politics, his close interaction with the late President revealed his strong passion for Nigeria and its people”
He also recalled   that his engagement with him, people’s interest always supersede any other interest.”
Shekarau then expressed deep grief over the death of former Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said”With deep grief and total submission to the will of Allah that I received the news of passing away of our leader President Muhammadu Buhari in a London Clinic last Sunday.

This was contained in a statement he personally signed a copy made available to press in Kano

Shekarau said since he joined politics, his close interaction with the late President revealed his strong passion for Nigeria and its people adding that his engagement with him, people’s interest always supersede any other interest.

According to him,” Since 2002 when I joined politics, my close interaction with late President revealed his strong passion for Nigeria and its people”

Meanwhile, rhe President and Founder of Maryam Abacha American Universities of Nigeria and Niger, Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, describing his passing as a monumental loss to the nation and the African continent.

This was just as Professor Gwarzo
” noted that Buhari’s leadership though often debated—was grounded in deep personal sacrifice and a commitment to national unity.”

According to him”President Muhammadu Buhari was not just a leader; he was a symbol of dedication, simplicity, and unwavering patriotism”

. “He loved Nigeria deeply and served her with every ounce of strength throughout his life,” he said

In moments like this, we are reminded that true leadership lies in serving with humility and living for something greater than oneself. That is what Buhari did, and his memory will inspire generations to come,” he added.

President Buhari’s journey from the battlefield to the ballot box reflected his resilience and deep sense of responsibility to the Nigerian people,” he said. “His passing marks the end of an era, but his principles and modest lifestyle will remain etched in our national memory.”

He  therefore added that” As Nigeria and the global community continue to send in tributes, Buhari’s legacy as a soldier, a statesman, and a servant of the people continues to resonate across political and generational lines. His life story, shaped by duty and devotion, remains a cornerstone in the chronicle of Nigeria’s post-independence evolution.
