As Primary and Post Primary Schools resumed today Monday 7th April for the commencement of third term 2025 academic session in Kano, schools monitoring teams have reported good turn out of teachers and students from the various schools visited.

A statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment Kano State Ministry of Education Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru explained that teachers, students and pupils were met present in most of the schools as early as 7:30am.

Accordingly, “reports from our monitoring officers indicates that teachers and students have resumed to their respective schools as early as 7:30am – 8:00am with absenteeism recorded in few schools.

” We discovered that teachers make early preparation of their lesson plan, keep their schools premises cleaned for the smooth commencement of normal lesson” said the statement.

However, the State Commissioner of Education Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda while appreciating the turn out, urged Principals and Head Teachers to put more efforts in ensuring that they maintain the tempo.

He commended  parents and guardians for their cooperation and pledged for government’s commitment towards boosting the standard of education in the state.

He  however urged all teaching and non teaching staff to equally work as a team to deliver what is expected from them.

It is a tradition during the first day of the schools resumption powerful teams from the state ministry of Education embark on schools assessment monitoring exercise with a view to ensuring punctuality and efficiency of staff.
