The command stated that Musa Usman resisted arrest and attacked one of the officers with a dagger, causing a stab injury. Despite the assault, the NDLEA team successfully subdued the suspects.

Authorities seized various illicit substances, including 1.1 kilograms of cannabis sativa, eight grams (38 tablets) of diazepam, and 59 grams (165 tablets) of Exol.
While reacting to the incident, the NDLEA State Commander, Abubakar Idris Ahmad, condemned the attack and reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to its mandate of combating drug abuse and trafficking.
He however emphasised that “Attacks on law enforcement officers in the line of duty will not deter us from carrying out our mission to rid society of the scourge of drug abuse and trafficking,”
He assured the public that the suspects, currently in NDLEA custody, would face charges for drug-related offences and assaulting a law enforcement officer.
