Kano education comm.hails gov. Yusuf’ s over allocation of 31 percent in  2025 budget

The Kano State Commissioner of Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, has said  that the state governor  Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf the  proposed allocating 31% of the 2025 budget to the education sector, has showcasing his dedication to the sector.

This was just as Dr.Makoda stated that this move has underscores the government’s resolve to revitalize the education sector.

Dr Makoda however commended the  Director of the Kano Educational Resource Department (KERD), Hajiya Rabi Inuwa Hussain, for her exceptional performance within her first year in office.

Making this known at a ceremony to mark KERD’s one-year achievements, Dr. Makoda emphasised the significant progress made by the department, demonstrating the current administration’s commitment to prioritizing education.

Dr. Makoda also hailed the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly and the Members of the House Committee on Education for their tireless support of the new government policies on education.

In her remarks, Hajiya Rabi Inuwa Hussain attributed KERD’s success to the collective efforts of her staff, who have worked tirelessly to transform the education sector.

The department has achieved 39 notable milestones in just one year, paving the way for new projects and initiatives.

The ceremony included a tour of KERD’s new projects, showcasing the department’s commitment to improving education in Kano State.
