The Kano State Government has provided new mattresses for newly admitted students participating in its School Exchange Programme at Government Secondary School (GSS), Gwarzo, and Shekara Government Girls Secondary School.

The initiative, implemented through the state Ministry of Education, is aimed at improving students’ welfare and providing a comfortable boarding environment to support effective learning.

The Commissioner for Education, Gwani Dr. Ali Haruna Abubakar Makoda, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the programme and providing essential facilities for students’ academic activities and general well-being.

The commissioner also urged the beneficiaries to uphold the good image of Kano State in their respective host schools.

In a statement signed by the Director of Public Enlightenment at the Ministry of Education, Musbahu Aminu Yakasai, the principals of GSS Gwarzo and Shekara Government Girls Secondary School expressed appreciation to the state government for providing the mattresses.
