A chieftain of All Progressive Congress ( APC) Alhaji (Dr) Ilyasu Musa kwankwaso, has said that the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People Party ( NNPP) Dr.Rabiu Musa kwankwaso and other notable policians,were free to joined the ruling party – APC,but not though the back door
He however advised president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’, not to be the only person ,that will discussed with the former Kano state governor- Dr. Kwankwaso,meeting to formalised his alleged decamping to the APC adding that other notable and noted bigwigs of the party have to be in attendance for obvious reasons
He added that it was been alleged that Dr. Kwankwaso wanted to collapsed the NNPP to the APC ,in order to secured a ministerial position noting that such move is in good fate, because the door of the ruling party is wide open for any interested members to come in
The APC outspoken person in Kano added that the move by
Musa Kwankwaso, agreed to go into merger with APC for his ministerial position and other positions for his supporters in the Government of President Tinubu.
The three time commissioner for rural and community development in Kano said,it is no longer story that President is meeting with Kwankwaso on possible merger of his party with the ruling APC, “however this should be done with care and cautioned”.
” The President will do good if in all the talks he is going to have with Kwankwaso,he includes Kano APC leaders including Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, former Reps majority leader, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Chairman House Committee on Appropriation Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi, State Housing Minister Tijjani Muhammad Gwarzo and the state chairman APC Abdullahi Abbas and other elected officials and above all the National Chairman of APC, Dr Umar Ganduje”.
He however emphasized on reason of saying this” Why I’m saying so is because, I know the kind of person Kwankwaso is, it will not be a difficult things for him to betrayed the talks regardless of the fact it is with the President, therefore you needs your party leaders especially from Kano to be your witnesses”.
He said, “President Tinubu should know that Kwankwaso is running out of NNPP because right now many of his party loyalists including some elected officials from Nassarawa State are allegedly dumping the party for APC”.
“Even in Kano, Kwankwaso strong NNPP hall, is gradually loosing relevance with many dumping the party, while some top elected National Assembly members are also said to be on their way out of the party”.
He said, “President Tinubu as a professional and sound politician, I believe he knows why Kwankwaso is jittery now, he is loosing his political relevance and that is why he is ready to accept any position he will be given by the Government of APC”.
