The Kano state government, has said that a committee of inquiry will be established to investigate those behind the  senseless killings and looting of public buildings in the state during the hunger nationwide protest occured in the state
This was just as the state government, has
announced the arrest of 632 suspects for vandalizing public buildings during the recent protests in different parts of the state.
The Director General media and communication Comrade Sanusi Bature Dawakin- Tofa ,made this known on Monday while addressing press in Kano
However, the state government emphasizes that the protesters seen carrying Russian flags were not affiliated with the government.
The image maker of the governor disclosed that the suspects were arrested during the protests and have since been arraigned before various courts in the metropolis.
He expressed the  state government’s commitment to maintaining peace and order, warning that those found guilty of vandalism will be arrested and prosecuted.
He hinted that the commission
. will ascertain the root causes of the killings and destruction of public buildings.
He explained that the genuine protesters had submitted their grievances, which would be forwarded to President Bola Tinubu in Abuja.
Commenting on the committee of inquiry set up by the state government,he said that the
committee main objective was to determine the root causes of the violence  that lead to the killings and destruction, and identify those responsible behind the acts.
He therefore added that the genuine protesters had submitted their grievances, which will be forwarded to President Bola Tinubu in Abuja for appropriate action.
