THE Bayero University Kano( BUK) has indicated its readiness to work with Kano State Government in solving the education crisis facing the state. The  Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas gave the assurance, when he led a team of the University management that paid a courtesy visit to the state commisioner of education Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa in his office. THE Chairman of the Dangote Group,Aliko Dangote, has raised his opposition, on the Central Bank of Nigeria’s nearly 30 percent interest rate, urging the government to back established companies. Making this known at a Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) summit in Abuja, Dangote warned, “Nobody can create jobs with an interest rate of 30%. No growth will happen.” He then emphasized the need for affordable financing and protection of domestic industries, citing that import dependence leads to poverty and job loss. Dangote’s call to action stressed the importance of supporting local industries to combat insecurity and foster prosperity.

The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has said that all necessary arrangements have been completed for the returns of 554 first batch of the state pilgrims today The flight will depart from King Abdul-Aziz International Airport Jeddah today to Malam Aminu Kano International Airport with Kano State pilgrims. KANO state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has said that the state government is exploring avenues at preventing drug traffickers from exploring legal means in securing back seized items under custody of some state agencies. The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Kano Sector Command, has said that  25 travellers, lost their lives ,while 53 others sustained various degrees of injuries in an early Monday morning auto crash. KANO state governor Abba Yusuf, has saidthat the deductions made from pension funds by the immediate past administration of Abdullahi Ganduje were not credited to the state government accounts. The Dangote Refinery said that the company has swiftly contained a minor fire incident at its effluent treatment plant (ETP) on Wednesday . This was contained in a statement signed by Anthony Chiejina,a copy made available to press on Wednesday in Kano However,the statement reads : “We have swiftly contained a minor fire incident at our effluent treatment plant (ETP), today Wednesday 26th of June.
