The Minister in Charge of First Baptist Church, Kano, Rev. Dr. Armstrong Olatunde Ajayi, has described fathers as unsung heroes whose unconditional love, sacrifices and leadership remain the foundation of strong families and stable societies.

Speaking during the 2026 Father’s Day celebration on Sunday, Ajayi commended fathers for their vital role in holding families together and contributing to the development of communities across the world.

The celebration, organized under the theme, “Fathers as Kingdom Builders,” by the Men Missionary Union of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, focused on the spiritual and moral responsibilities of fathers in contemporary society.

Ajayi said fathers who aspire to be true kingdom builders must embrace regeneration through faith, live according to God’s Word, maintain exemplary lifestyles, establish godly family altars and remain obedient to God at all times

.
According to him, these qualities are essential for fathers seeking to raise responsible children and build homes rooted in Christian values.

The cleric further urged fathers across the globe to provide for their families, demonstrate leadership in all spheres of life and take primary responsibility for the well-being of their households.

He emphasized that fathers should build their homes with eternity in view, noting that divine rewards await those who faithfully discharge their duties before God.

Ajayi’s message highlighted the importance of fatherhood in shaping future generations and strengthening society through godly leadership and commitment to family values.
