According to him ” Kano State’s emergence as the top state in the 2025 NECO examinations was attributed to Governor’s prioritization policy of education sector.”

He further registered his appreciation to the  Governor who according to him remains always committed in providing whatever the ministry requested for the development of education in the state.
” I want to tell you that His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf is working tirelessly and that is why Kano Education Sector is moving at an accelerated speed by doing the needful.
” Take for example, in trying to address the shortage of mathematics teachers in some our senior secondary schools, the Governor has graciously approved the recruitment of new mathematics teachers who are going to be posted in to our various secondary schools statewide ” declared Makoda.
He further called on parents to complement government effort by ensuring that they send their children to schools to acquire better education.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment Ministry of Education, Kano, Alhaji Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru ,a copy made available to journalists in Kano
Earlier, the Executive Secretary Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board Alhaji Rabi’u Saleh Gwarzo noted that Kano had never topped NECO rankings until the present administration, attributing the accomplishment to the relentless devotion of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf to improving the educational standards in the state.
Alhaji Gwarzo  however urged for greater cooperation and synergy between State Universal Basic Education Board, Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board and Kano Educational Resources Department to ensure successful and smooth transition of  students from upper basic education to senior Secondary Schools.
Also speaking at the occasion, the  State Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA)  Alhaji Dahiru Salisu Mai jimiri commended the  Commissioner for Education for his dedication and courageous attitudes towards transforming the education sector.
While , the state chairman Schools Based Management Committee (SBMC) Tijjani Haladu Baraya lauded the effort of the present administration in revitalizing the education sector, calling on parents and other civil society organizations to continue supporting the government to achieve quality education.
