Dangote Refinery cuts petrol price to N820 –

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced  a reduction in the ex-depot (gantry) price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, by N30.00, from N850 to N820 per litre, with effect from Tuesday, 12 August 2025.
This was contained in  statement signed  by Dangote’s Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina,
However, the statement said the decision reflects our unwavering commitment to supporting national development and ensuring affordability for Nigerians.
These initiatives reinforce our commitment to driving efficiency, supporting the energy transition, and making a meaningful contribution to Nigeria’s economic growth,” the statement added.
The statement read : We remain dedicated to providing a consistent and uninterrupted supply of petroleum products to meet the nation’s needs”.

It was also stated that” In  furtherance of our commitment to operational excellence and sustainable energy solutions, the Refinery will commence the phased deployment of 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks for fuel distribution across Nigeria, starting from 15 August 2025″.
