Governor Yusuf disburses empowerment packages to 1,130 graduates of six  enterpreunership institutes

Governor Yusuf disburses empowerment packages to 1,130 graduates of six  enterpreunership institutes

Kano State  Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf,in an effort to bolster the jobs creation drive to teeming youths across the state,has disbursed empowerment packages to 1,130 graduates of six enterpreunership skill institute’s

Speaking at the occasion Governor Yusuf said the empowerment is about rekindling hope, restoring dreams, and unlocking the enermous potential of youth to become self-reliant, productive, and innovative contributors to the economy of the state.

He maitained that the institutes were originally established during the administration of Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso with the vision of equipping youths with practical skills to drive economic growth but unfortunately closed by the preceding administration in the state.

In a statement issued by the governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa in Kano on Saturday,  said the governor disbursed the packages at a colorful event held at Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano.

The governor reiterated his  administration’s efforts to empower the graduates, ” that is why today each graduate is leaving here with not only a certificate but also an empowerment package relevant to his/her field”.

Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf added that by reviving the Institutes and providing both tools and seed capital, the government  is reducing unemployment, curbing youth restiveness and promoting self-reliance as it aligns with the broader agenda to diversify Kano’s economy, promote innovation, and create a sustainable future for Kano people.

To the graduates, the governor admonishes, ” today is not the end, it is the beginning of your enterpreunership  journey. The tools and capital you have received today are seeds, use them wisely, nurture them, and they will grow into successful businesses that will benefit you, your families, and our state.

Each of the 250 graduates of Informatics Institute, Kura received laptop computers and phone repair kits; each 140 graduates of the Livestock Institute, Bagauda received bulls, feed, and Veterinary medication whereas their counterparts from the Driving Institute, Kumbotso who are 250 in number received driving licences and certificates each.

Also, 200 graduates from the Horticulture Institute, Bagauda received modern gardening tools; 200 graduates of Fisheries Institute, Bagauda, each received fingerlings, table-size, wheiging  scales, and tarpaulin ponds; and each of the 90 graduates of the Film Institute, Tiga received digital cameras.

In a message, the founder of the Institutes and NNPP leader, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, who spoke through the national chairman of NNPP, Dr. Ahmad Ajuji, commended Kano state government for reviving the all-important institutes and wished the  prosperous future for the graduates.

The Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi II, who was represented by his Chief of Staff and Galadiman Kano, Alhaji Munir Sanusi extolled Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s purposeful leadership aimed at taking the state to greater heights.
