The organizer of President Tinubu Mother’s Qur’an Recitation Competition, organized by Senator Bashir Lado has fulfilled the awards of four new brand Houses to the winners of the exercises.
However,the competition, which was said to had been organized as a memorial to the Mother of President Tinubu, Hajiya Abibatu Mogaji Tinubu, was also meant to make young people to read the holy book and memorize it.
Speaking while presenting the houses to the winners, Professor Ali Muhammad, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said the aims was to continue remembrance of the President Tinubu Mother’s as well as inculcate the virtues of the Holy Book in the minds of Young Muslim Nigerians.
He said the prizes which included two bedrooms houses for the second position winners and three bedroom Houses to the first place winners was done to encourage them to stick to the teachings of the Quran.
According to him,The houses were described as luxurious, with the first position house having three bedrooms and one parlor, while the second position houses had two bedrooms and one parlor.
The Recitation Competition attracted participation of competitors from the State 44 Local Government areas with over 100 Young Reciters memorizing the complete Quran.
“This gesture is a way to encourage and motivate young Muslims to continue memorizing and reciting the Quran and make it a way of their lives so that they would be patriotic Citizens for the good of the Nation.
The winners of the competition were revealed as follows: Maryam Abubakar Mu’az (first position, female), Ahmad Shu’aib (first position, male), Zainab Hassan Shu’aib (second position, female), and Ahmad Kabir Baturi (second position, male).
He reminded that the competition was held in honor of Hajia Habibatu Mogaji, the mother of President Bola Ahmad Tinubu.
Former President Muhammadu Buhari, Emir of Daura, Former Minister Hadi Sirika and many top Nigerians participated at the opening of the Competition late last two weeks.
