A close a close ally of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Managing Director of IMUK Logistics Concept, Shankus Construction Company,

Mohammed Ibrahim, has threatened to take legal action against the Kano State Government over the alleged demolition of his N20 million property along Zoo Road
Making this known when speaking with press in Kano, Alhaji Ibrahim claimed that he had followed all necessary due processes before building the structure, including obtaining guidance from the relevant agency and paying all required fees.

He however alleged that the demolition might be politically motivated, given his close relationship with President Tinubu, whose campaign office in Kano he had donated.

He therefore accused the state government and  criticized for its demolition of structures, with some accusing it of targeting political opponents
Alhaji Ibrahim emphasised tha “The demolition of my structure might not be unconnected with politics, but demolition of this structure is more than politics, it has tortured my physique,”
However, the Managing Director of Kano State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA), Arch. Ibrahim Yakubu Adamu, countered Alhaji Ibrahim’s claims, stating that the building was constructed on accessed roads
He further disclosed that the agency had given him three notifications warning of the impending demolition.

He added that the owner of the illegal structure had several times came to this office and he had been informed several time to stopped further construction, but ignored the directives
