Yoruba constitutes committee, to raise N500 million funds  to construct palace ,others

The Sarki Yoruba community in Kano Alhaji ( Ambassador) Murtala Alimi Otisese (Adetimirin 1) has announced the formation of N500 million fundraising for construction of community palace for Yoruba community residents in the state

This funds to be realised also meant to constructed a residential quarter for staff, a school for the less privileged, and a multi-purpose hall that will serve as a Community Centre and revenue-generating space for the Palace administration.

Making this known in a statement signed by the Prince Zakariyau AbdulRasheed RotimiPalace Secretary a copy made available to press on Tuesday in Kano

However, Oba Murtala then stated that “To achieve the ambitious fundraising target of N500 million, the committee comprises five members, with Chief Akande Omotayo Kazeem appointed as the chairperson, and Chief Femi Smith Johnson serving as his assistant.

According to him,”This project will not only enhance the Palace’s operations but will also significantly contribute to the welfare of our people”

This committee is tasked with overseeing the fundraising efforts for the construction of a new Oba’s Palace, a residential quarter for staff, a school for the less privileged, and a multi-purpose hall that will serve as a Community Centre and revenue-generating space for the Palace administration.

“To truly serve our community, we must adapt and modernize our facilities and offerings,” stated Oba Murtala.

The committee will work diligently to organize events and programs aimed at raising the necessary funds in a timely manner, ensuring the project’s swift commencement.

However, Kazeem remarked.and said ““We are determined to mobilize support from our community and beyond, engaging everyone in this noble cause.

”The committee will begin its work immediately, laying the groundwork for events that will draw attention to the project and encourage contributions from both local and international donors.Oba Murtala also urged the Yoruba community in Kano to rally around this initiative, stating,

“Together, we can create a lasting legacy that will benefit future generations and foster unity and progress within community.
