A three times commissioner for rural and community development in Kano state, Alhaji ( Dr) Ilyasu Musa Kwankwaso, has asked
Nigerian governors,  to fear God and utilize the N570 billion allocated to them by President Bola Tinubu on youth and women development programs to alleviate the sufferings and hardship being encountered in the country.

He however warned that if they refuse to heed to his advice and misuse the funds or divert them for personal greed, posterity will judge them.

Kwankwaso,a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) made the call on Friday, while speaking with press in Kano

According to him,”On  the amount of N570 billion given to all the 36 states and the Federal capital territory, the governors should fear God, because the posterity would not forgive them, if they mismanaged the funds or diverted it for their personal use.

He charged them that ” They
should utilize it in employment of youths and women in their respective states of the country.

Kwankwaso however called them to emulate”  the Ebonyi state government whose government doled out a sum of N1 million to each of the 13,000 people to enable them start their small scale businesses and thus spent over N13 billion on empowerment” he stated.

While  on those who allegedly instigated the nationwide protests, he described them as enemies of the country whose actions have political undertone.

He stated that they only did what they did to show their hatred and enmity to president Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shetima.

“They did that to whip up sentiment aimed at denting the image of president Tinubu and the vice president Kashim Shetima.

“But they have failed , because their negative antics against the duo, rather than dent their image has made them, gained more popularity” he stated.

He finally expressed dismay over comments attributed to the Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II accusing security operatives of failing to protect the Kano Printing Press and the ICT hub of NCC from being vandalized during the hunger protest despite intelligence reports available to them.

He added that as an appointee of the state government, such a statement should not come from a monarch like him at this crucial period.

“He is supposed to have encouraged the security operatives on the steps taken to restore normalcy, law and order in the state.

“I wish to use this opportunity to also commend the National Security Adviser Alhaji Nuhu Ribadu the Chiefs of the Army, DSS and the Nigeria Police for their collective actions and steps to restore normalcy in the country during and after the hunger protest”

Kwankwaso called on northeners to give the Tinubu/Shetima time to reposition the country adding that they mean well for the country.
