TheFederal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kano Sector Commander CC MB Bature, who visited the scene of the accident, said “, the accident occurred around 2:40 a.m. and involved a DAF Trailer CF95 (registration number KMC 931 ZE) loaded with goods, including Ajinomoto spices, and passengers.”
According to him,” the preliminary investigations revealed that a mechanical fault caused the trailer’s cab hook to break, detaching it from the trailer body and resulting in loss of control
He therefore confirmed that “Out of the 19 people on board, 12 died instantly, five sustained injuries, and two escaped unhurt.”
Sector Commander CC MB Bature added that” The injured were rushed to Kura General Hospital, while the bodies of the deceased were deposited at Nassarawa Hospital”.
