KANO state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf,has declared Monday, July 8, 2024 as public holiday in comumeration of the beginning of new Islamic calendar 1446 AH.
However,the state Governor disclosed thus through a press statement by the Commissioner of information Baba Halilu Dantiye.
According to him,the Governor then enjoined the people to utilize the holiday to reflect on the previous year and commit themselves in mutually beneficial activities that will bring sucur to the people.
“On its part, the government will continue to initiate policies and programmes that will empower people to be self dependent.”
Dantiye said, the governor urged Muslim Ummah to intensifies prayers for continued peace and progress in the State.
He expressed optimism with prayers and support of the people, his administration will turn around the fortunes of the state and return it back to the most economically prosperous state among it’s pears in the nation.
