the Kano State Public and Anti Corruption Commission, has arrested three lawyers,notable personnalities from state ministry of land and physical planning over an alleged involved in land grabbing running to the tune of billion Naira
Making this known on Thursday, the Commission Chairman, Barrister Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado, said that the huge criminalities under the organized syndicate with actives connivance with Lawyers, Land agency to perpetrated the Crimes,have bursted by the state anti- graft
According to him,” Already, one of the syndicator, Sulaiman Aliyu who has over 50 land cases on him is cooling his feet in the commission cell.
He added that’ They have successfully arrested 15 People although some released on bail, those arrested includes 3 lawyers o land officers and others adding that the case involved forgery of Government documents.
The state anti- graft boss however disclosed that a sister organization helped him to arrested the kingpin in the deals, which led to the arrest of others top echelons in the ugly deal
He also added that among those arrested includes somebody who wanted to bribe their officers with over N2 Million cash but the officer rejected the offer
Thrown more light on the syndicates were perpetrated the act ,he said they would obtained Fire Service reports that would lead them to lied on oath that they lost their documents in the fire incidents using a forged paper, and now they will write the person’s they want to take over his land to obtained defaults judgement and later sold the properties”.
He then mentioned that “A place at Gasrtalawa they went and obtained defaults judgement of a dependent died but their lawyers lied to the court that he is alive, trying to bribed the bailiff who rejected the money
Adding that they went and dressed another person so well and presented him to the Court as Illiya Ibrahim who is late”.
Aside from that was another
case was that of the National Commission of Museum, somebody arrogantly obtained a Magistrate Court order and went demolished the place in the names of owning it.
Barrister Muhyi, therefore disclosed that ‘ We have succeeded in breaking their ranks and we are preparing Legal Actions against them and sooner we are charging them to Court”.
He also hinted that they have over 50 cases worth over N100 billion spread across the State.
He commended the State Chief Justice of the State, Dije Aboki for allowing them to detained some of the High Court Registrar, a Former Deputy Sheriff, Bailiff and some others without interfering.
Believing that the Kano State High Courts are not in anyway Conspirators, rather they even helped them to carry out their duties with diligence and without interference, some of the Security officers however are deeply in the crimes.
“Some of the syndicate are using their positions to intimidate the Commission, but let me promise them that their position can change anything in my Office, nothing can deter Us from carrying out our duties to save guard the human rights
