The District Head  Kawaji Saun,
Alhaji Kabir Tijjani Hashim, Turakin Kano, has commended LG Electronic , for providing solar-powered borehole to Kano Community, adding that “This project is a lifeline for the community. which had faced daily struggles just to access clean water.
This was just as the District head said that “This borehole will transform our lives. We no longer have to risk our health by relying on distant water sources”
 He made this known,when speaking during the commissioning ceremony of a solar-powered borehole, built by the LG Electronic, for the Kawaji Saunar MamaU community in Nassarawa Local Government, Kano State, Nigeria
According to him,” Now, thanks to LG, we have a sustainable solution right at our doorstep.”

This initiative is part of LG’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, which is dedicated to fostering sustainable development and elevating the quality of life for underserved communities.

Residents in various rural areas of Kano have long faced the daunting challenge of obtaining potable water, often trekking for miles to unreliable sources.

He emphasised that” The introduction of this solar-powered borehole is set to be a game-changer, offering a dependable and sustainable water supply right within their reach.

He however stated that ” What makes this borehole particularly remarkable is its innovative use of solar energy.

He added that” Unlike traditional systems that depend on electricity or manual pumping, this solar-powered borehole harnesses the abundant sunlight in Kano to pump water from underground sources.

Mr Mba added that” This not only ensures a reliable supply but also keeps operational costs low.

The Chairman of Nassarawa Local Government,Hon. Tusuf Imam, said that clean  water is essential for our families, and we are deeply thankful for this support.”

Hon. Imam, praised the collaborative efforts that made this project possible, stating,

According to him” This is a shining example of how private sector involvement can lead to meaningful change.

We encourage more organizations to invest in community development like LG has done today.
