The Spokesperson of the Political Appointees Forum from Kano State, Dr. Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, has congratulated Senator Basheer Lado, Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on National Assembly Matters (Senate), on his 60th birthday, describing him as a political figure who plays the game with maturity, experience and respect.
Kwankwaso, who also described Lado as a political dogma, commended his contributions to democratic governance, humanitarian services and national development.
He said Lado’s wealth of experience in public service and legislative affairs had helped strengthen relations between the Executive and the Senate, while also contributing to the effective coordination of activities among political appointees.
“Senator Lado is a dependable public servant and accomplished legislator whose experience has helped strengthen relations between the Executive and the Senate, while steering the activities of political appointees with great respect and understanding,” Kwankwaso said.
He noted that Lado represented Kano Central Senatorial District in the Seventh National Assembly from 2011 to 2015, where he served as Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Works.

He said Lado made significant contributions to protecting vulnerable Nigerians, combating human trafficking and improving the welfare and rehabilitation of displaced persons through his various public service roles.
The Kano political appointees’ spokesperson also praised Lado’s humanitarian interventions through the Ladon Alheri Foundation, particularly in education, healthcare, women’s economic empowerment, rural water supply and support for disadvantaged communities.
