KANO state governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has called on political actors in Kiru and Bebeji Federal Constituency to sustain cooperation and place collective interests above personal ambitions as preparations for the next electoral cycle intensify.

The governor made the appeal while reacting to the unanimous nomination of Abdulmumin Jibril Kofa by constituency stakeholders to contest for the House of Representatives seat for a fifth consecutive term.

Yusuf commended the decision, describing it as a reflection of political maturity and unity of purpose among leaders in the constituency.

The endorsement was announced by the Chairman of the stakeholders’ forum, Ahmad Ali Yako, who cited Kofa’s performance in legislative representation, grassroots engagement, and commitment to development initiatives as key factors behind the consensus.

According to Yako, the decision followed extensive consultations among political leaders and community stakeholders across Kiru and Bebeji, culminating in what observers regard as a strong vote of confidence in Kofa’s leadership.

He added that the constituency has witnessed improved political inclusion and developmental progress during Kofa’s tenure, noting that continuity in representation would help consolidate existing gains.

Governor Yusuf reiterated the need for sustained unity, urging stakeholders to remain focused on shared goals as political activities gather momentum ahead of forthcoming elections.

The endorsement is expected to further strengthen Kofa’s political standing as the electoral season approaches.
