Kano govt conveys 588 Students exchange programme to 13 Northern States

The Kano State Government has successfully conveyed 588 students to 13 northern states under the Students Exchange Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The students were transported to their respective states which include Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa, Katsina, Kebbi, Taraba and Nasarawa State.
Students of Yobe, Kaduna, Sokoto Borno and Kwara were also conveyed safely to their respective states, while 78 students will be conveyed to Niger and Benue States on September 30, 2025.
Making this known while speaking with press, shortly after the students’ departure yesterday Wednesday, Kano State Commissioner of Education Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda represented by the Director Monitoring and Evaluation of the Ministry Auwal Muhammad Mustapha reiterated government’s commitment to ensuring safe transportation of students to their respective states.
According to him ” Kano State is among the 19 northern states participating in the students exchange programme aims at promoting unity and understanding of cultural background among the member states.”
Dr.Makoda then disclosed that “The Governor is giving us all the necessary logistics and financial support to make our work easier and ensure that the students are transported to their respective states safely “
