The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission,(PCACC) has said that the agency has seized over 1000 plots of land in some parts of the state from individuals suspected to be land grabbers.
This was just as the State Anti- graft disclosed that lready, two people have already been arrested and currently assisting investigation.
However, the Commission commended the efforts of officials of the Department of State Service who rejected a bribe offer of 2.8 million Naira from one of the suspects during the arrest.
Making this known ,the PACC’ s Chairman, Barrister Muhuyi Magaji who disclosed this  while speaking with press said, the land-grabbing syndicate used some lawyers in the state to perpetuate their criminal activities.

He however said that based on the executive order signed by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf can recover land-grabbing syndicates and is pursuing them.

The PCACC, while disclosed how  the syndicates operate, Magaji said, “If they want to grab your land, they will connive with these lawyers and they now file an application or coin a name of a defendant that is even not in existence and they would go and obtain consent judgment.”

He therefore emphasized that the state government is not a party to such suits as all the lands they are trying to grab emanate from the Kano state Government.

Magaji commended the efforts of officials of the Department of State Service who rejected a bribe offer of 2.8 million Naira from one of the suspects during the arrest.
