This was just as the Headmaster therefore made a passionate appeal to the state governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to come into aid of the School adding that with Pupils population of 1,764 they were sharing four toilets with their teachers

This was just as some pupils in the School begged the state government,by come to their aid by provided enough toilets to prevented an open defecation,which can posed a serious health risk to them
He said that the school virtually lacks furniture as most of the 1,764 pupils receive lessons on bare floor and with only four toilets shared between the teachers and the pupils.
According to him, this is an evidence that can not be hiding because,” Our School is facing acute shortage of teachers as there were only 39 teaching staff(both permanent, temporary and casual) handling 18 classrooms on the basis of one teacher per three classroom.
He appealed to the State Government to address these challenges for the successful implementation of the State of Emergency in the education sector
He however stated that the state government can not shoulder educational responsibilities, hence the need for wealthy individuals to complement efforts of state government,by assist in providing necessary materials that would boost education in the state
While at the Dawakin- Tofa
Modern Primary School in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area, the
Headmaster of the School, Alhaji Sabi’u Sunusi Idris hailed the State Government for providing furniture, teaching materials water and toilet facilities in the school.He however berated the absence of security in the school, adding that with its 1,212 students and 32 teachers the school has no perimeter fence and no security guards.
According to him, because of this the School were been exposed to thieves whom have been stealing its valuables.
While some parents, Latifatu Jibrin Bichi and Abdulrahaman Idris, of Sabon Layi Primary School, Bichi, commended the government for intervening in the education sector but called for provision of uniforms, furniture, instructional materials, more teachers and toilet facilities to the school.
According to them , because of the lack of lack of furniture in the school, most of their children sit on mats and and other materials to receive lessons, not only disturbing but made the teaching unconducive for learning.
However,a student Muhamnadu Idris made a passionate appeal to the state government to address major challenges facing learning, especially,the issue of lack of toilets and lack of furniture, chairs and tables
As according to him,apart for the fact that it may caused untold hardship and illness,it also capable of leading to drop out of pupils from school
