The Head of Service, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, has appealed to civil servants in the state to rededicate themselves in the discharge of their respective responsibilities.
He lamented that there are certain complaints from some quarters regarding the conduct of some civil servants which are not suppose to be, hence the need for corrections in the interest of effective and efficient service delivery.
According to him”As responsible persons that steer the affairs of public offices, there is need for them to always live up to the expectations of the laid down rules and regulations governing the conduct of the service.”
Making this known during the weekly Joint Directorate Meeting (JDM) said that” As Public Servants, it is necessary for you to always portray your selves as responsible, dedicated, hardworking and time-abiding in your daily official duties,
The Head of Service who took time to admonish staff at the meeting and, by extension, all the civil servants in the state, to be good and law abiding, cited examples of some retired civil servants that have distinguished themselves through good character and selfless performance in the service.

The statement added that” While
further urging the civil servants to inculcate the habit of reporting to work by 8:00am, stressed that all should strive to creat a reputation worthy of praise and also remember that posterity will judge everyone.”
He cited a famous Sociologist, Patric Wilmot, who always inspired people to look at a mirror so that they can see the real reflection of themselves, with a view to encouraging self assessment for necessary improvement.
